The Akola Project is non-profit social enterprise, 100% of their profits are invested back to employ and equip “unemployable” women in Uganda and Dallas. To date Akola has empowered over 400 women to transform the lives of over 4,000 children in poverty. They have built 3 training centers and 23 water wells in Uganda.
This necklace is a dainty metal chain with a row of tiny, blue ombre hand-rolled paper beads. One of 400 Akola women in Uganda hand-rolled the beads and one of 100 Akola women in Dallas assembled. Such a great piece to add to your collection!
