New necklaces have arrived from Costa Rica! Beautiful, sustainable, and classy. The Lagrima necklace is as special as it is classy. Our artisan partners grow and harvest the seeds for this necklace right outside their homes. Making it sustainable and doubly impactful - as the artisans can be paid for both growing the seeds and creating the necklace.
The Lagrima Necklace was designed by Bought Beautifully and made with love by our partners Hands Producing Hope, an ethical fashion brand empowering women to rise above poverty, by providing the economic, educational, and spiritual resources necessary to empower remote communities. Their vision is to see all people afforded opportunities to have dignified and respectable work and to provide for their families and flourish in their communities. They want to see a universal growth in an understand of the impact an individual can make with their time, resources, and talents.
Fun, chic, fair trade--the most fun scrunchies around. Named in honor of our 98 year old grandma who knows that animal prints are always in style.
Made with love in Kenya ♥
These scrunchies are made with love by artisans with Grain of Rice Project, a non-profit ministry that empowers artists and children living in the Kibera slum with the love of Christ by helping them become self-sufficient through employment, education, and skills training. Kibera is the largest slum in East Africa with more than 235,000 people living in a single square mile. Life in Kibera is difficult with no running water, open sewage and many surviving on less than $1 a day. Grain of Rice Project works to provide opportunities to people in Kibera to help them overcome some of their hardships. They strive to do small things to empower people that will add up to make a big difference in their lives and will in turn spill over and make a difference in the lives of others around them.
