DESCRIPTION: The colors feel like a sunset for your ears! An intricately woven beaded sunset that is! 

THE STORY: This beadwork style was intricately woven together by a Haiti Design Co partner team in Milot, Haiti known as V.A.K. (VALÈ ATIZAN KREYATIF). HDC partnered with artisan Michel Ange Joseph to help launch VAK in 2015. Today Michel Ange has created jobs for over 15 women in her community.

IMPACT: Handmade with love in Haiti ♥ The Archway Earrings Earrings are made by artisans with the Haiti Design Co. which was founded in 2014 with the goal to bring about sustainable development through design, training, and job creation. Their mantra around the workshop is "MEN ANPIL, CHAY PA LOU". This is an old Haitian proverb meaning "MANY HANDS MAKE THE LOAD LIGHT". They believe that there is commonality between the designer, maker, and consumer, and that when working together we can help lighten each other's load and bring about lasting positive impact.
