These Fingerless Gloves are made by artisans with Azerbaijani Socks which was founded with the intention of empowering women living in rural Azerbaijan with the opportunity to provide for their families. Azerbaijan Socks consists of several dozen hard-working women, these talented ladies can work from their homes, as they are often not allowed to leave their homes because of cultural limitations. They typically knit during the late fall and winter after crops have been harvested. In addition to paying fair wages, Azerbaijan Sock’s provides financial advice, prayers, and encouragement and supports each as they develop their identity and purpose - which shines through in each pair of unique handmade socks.
Yarn is preshrunk and can be washed in the washer and dried in the dryer. Empowers women & provides spiritual support
