Share the love
Good morning! Sorry, I am lacking in the posting department these days, but I just can't seem to drag myself away from this:
Healthcare Administration Degree. It is a great visual reminder of the inequalities that exist in the world and just how lucky we are to have been born in the United States. It is interactive so click around on the map to see important factors in a child’s life, including mortality, fun & culture, safety, freedom, GDP, and vaccinations and how each country ranks. Produced By Healthcare Administration Degree Programs There are some rough places to live, especially if you are a girl. Looking at this map really makes me want to know what I can do to make a difference??? I know there are so many options but my favorite is child sponsorship for two reasons:
1) It is proven to be effecitveResearch done at the University of San Francisco shows that sponsored children "are more likely to graduate both secondary school and college, have salaried employment, and be leaders in their communities."
2) It is personal-You get a visual reminder - the face of a beautiful child - of the difference you are making. For me child sponsorship is so beautiful because it takes these statistics and makes them real by giving them a face and giving us a personal relationship with them.
So if you are looking for a different way to share the love this Valentine's Day check out sponsoring a child! If you don't already have a sponsor child check you can work with any of these three companies to get one - Compasssion, World Vision, Feed the Children

As you know, we are in full-on BABY mode over here (and loving every minute of it)!
It seems like the baby game has changed quite a bit since our last baby- there are so many new ethical, small shop, sustainable and giveback brands and products that we've begun to fall in love with! While we still turn to 2nd hand/hand-me-down items as our first resort for finding items for our kids - (it is most economical and sustainable), it has been encouraging and fun to see the myriad of new options! We've loved trying out and supporting some of these brands as we shop with an impact, and are excited to share our recommendations with you!
