THE STORY: The HDC jewelry team, known as “Ekip Fanm Djanm” (meaning Team of Strong Women), is made up of 12 talented artisans specializing in leather sequin jewelry, beadwork, and assembly. Leather remnants are saved after production to be transformed into beautiful jewelry designs and packaging because we live by the “waste not, want not” motto. 

PRODUCT DETAILS:   

• Materials: Handcrafted from Haitian cow leather, solid brass hardware, + glass beads
• Measures approximately 0.75 in width and 8" in length with two sizing options

IMPACT: Made with love in Haiti ♥ Haiti Design Co. was founded in 2014 with the goal of bringing about sustainable development through design, training, and job creation. Their mantra around the workshop is "MEN ANPIL, CHAY PA LOU." This is an old Haitian proverb meaning "MANY HANDS MAKE THE LOAD LIGHT."
