TuesDIY: Closet Challenge
A few weeks ago, we shared a few easy tips on how to jump-start your ethical wardrobe. This week, we challenged one of our own BB team members to put those tips into practice using her own closet!
Tip 1: Use what you already have! Our first and most basic tip - using the old classics in new ways to liven up your closet! This adorable red dress is timeless, and is a great staple for any season! By adding new (Bought Beautifully) accessories like this necklace from Haiti, you can give your classic clothing a fresh trendy look and while supporting entrepreneurs in Haiti!
Tip 2: Thrift, Thrift, Thrift!Purchasing a new-to-you piece from your favorite thrift store is an excellent way to find fresh pieces for your sustainable wardrobe. Hanna found this olive jacket (and the hat in the picture above) at one of our favorite local consignment shops - we instantly fell in love!
Tip 3: Swap & ShareNext on our list for an easy and ethical closet makeover? Swap a piece with one of your besties! Sharing old favorites with friends is an AWESOME way to keep your closet fresh. This cozy sweater was swapped between BB team members last fall!
Tip 4: Re-purposeRe-purposing puts a fresh twist on an old piece. Like this floral headband? It was re-purposed from an old dress made by Hanna's mother!! (It doesn't get any better than that!). We are smitten!
Tip 5: Ethical AccessoriesLast but not least on our list? Bring in NEW ethical accessories from Bought Beautifully! When you choose to shop Bought Beautifully, your pieces make a difference around the world!
What ways are you making your closet more ethical?

As you know, we are in full-on BABY mode over here (and loving every minute of it)!
It seems like the baby game has changed quite a bit since our last baby- there are so many new ethical, small shop, sustainable and giveback brands and products that we've begun to fall in love with! While we still turn to 2nd hand/hand-me-down items as our first resort for finding items for our kids - (it is most economical and sustainable), it has been encouraging and fun to see the myriad of new options! We've loved trying out and supporting some of these brands as we shop with an impact, and are excited to share our recommendations with you!
Here are our favorite ethical, small shop, sustainable giveback baby brands - and the products we have been using and loving in our everyday life!
